If you are a new candidate, you will need to register your account before you can complete and submit your application form.
Once registered, you will then be directed to your application form to complete and submit. This example relates to a BS7858 Screening with an SIA check, our most popular screening type. Our second most popular screening type involves carrying out a DBS check instead of an SIA check. However, we offer a wide variety of screenings and the type we carry out on you will be determined by your employer. The links within this article will take you to more in depth guides for the individual sections.
The company we are screening you for and the type of screening we are carrying out will be displayed at the top of the main page. This is the first page you should see when accessing the link sent to you by your employer. If you are unsure as to why you have received this or have questions about the necessity of the process, you should raise your concerns with your HR advisor or line manager. They will be able to advise what impact failure to complete the screening will have on the recruitment process.
To save your progress while completing the application form, you must click "Submit" at the bottom of each page.
Within each section are various boxes to fill in. Any boxes marked "required" MUST be filled in, otherwise your application will not save.
If there are any boxes not marked as required that do not apply to you, please leave them blank. Do not type "n/a" or anything similar.
All information you provide must be truthful and complete. This is what you are agreeing to when signing your consent form, and any incomplete or incorrect information could cause delays in your screening process, or for your application to be rejected, which in turn can affect your employment.
1. Personal Details
The first page you should complete is the Personal Details section. If you do not fully complete and save this section, no other progress in your application form will be saved if you navigate away from the page.
2. Documents
This is where you will upload the documents required to start your screening. As a minimum, we need a valid proof of ID and proof of address. Failure to upload these documents will result in your application being rejected.
3. Directorship Check
This is where you will need to fill in the details of any directorships you currently hold or have ever held, regardless of whether you have resigned your directorship or the company has been dissolved.
4. SIA Checks
This is where you must fill in the details of any SIA licences you hold and upload a picture of your card.
5. HMRC
The most useful document we can use for your screening is your 5 year employment history statement or your "HMRC". If you have already downloaded your HMRC, please upload it here.
6. Employment Gaps
If you have any substantial gaps in your employment history, we will need an explanation of what you were doing and how you were supporting yourself.
7. Current Address
This is where you need to fill in where you currently live. Please do not use a previous address or anywhere you are planning to move into, this must be where you live now.
8. Previous Address
We require your full address history for the time frame of your screening (usually 5 years) to carry out some of the checks. You must fill in all previous addresses in this section with correct moving dates, ensuring there are no gaps.
9. Consent Form
Even though your screening was requested by your employer, we still need your consent to carry out these checks. If you are unsure about the checks, the best option is to talk to your employer.
10. Work/Education History
In this section you must fully complete your work/education history. Just uploading your HMRC statement or CV is not sufficient and your application will be rejected if you do not complete this section.
Once all the sections have been completed, they will have a green tick next to them. At this point you can now fully submit your application by clicking "Submit" at the bottom of the main page. Your application will not come through to us if you do not click this.
Once submitted, your application will be locked and you will no longer be able to amend any details or upload new documents, so please make sure you have filled everything in fully and truthfully.
Your application will then come through to us as a new screening, which we will review to make sure you have provided the minimum required information and documentation. If you have not, your screening will be rejected and you will receive an email explaining why. If there is sufficient evidence, we will accept and start your screening.
PLEASE NOTE: Completing and submitting the application form is just the start of your screening process. Submitting this form DOES NOT mean your screening is complete. Once your screening starts, your assigned screener will contact you and advise you of any further documentation required. Cooperation with our screening team will ensure your screening is completed quickly and efficiently, preventing any delays in starting your employment.
NVS UK WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY ABUSE TOWARDS OUR MEMBERS OF STAFF. ABUSIVE ACTIONS WILL BE REPORTED TO YOUR EMPLOYER AND WE MAY REFUSE TO CONTINUE WITH YOUR SCREENING.
