For all screenings we must have documentation which proves your identity and your current address. This is part of the data checks section of your screening and your application will be rejected without this minimum documentation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Whilst a Driving Licence is a valid proof of ID and proof of address, it CANNOT be used for both categories. If you have used your driving licence in one category, you must use a different document for the other.
Photographic ID is preferred, but the full list of documents we can accept can be found here. The document you provide must be valid, i.e. expired passports and driving licences cannot be accepted. It must also show your full, current legal name and date of birth. If you have changed your name and your ID document has not been updated, we will also require a marriage certificate, divorce certificate or change of name deed poll showing a clear change from the name on your ID documentation to your current name.
Common forms of ID we DO NOT accept are as follows:
- Student ID cards
- SIA licence cards
- Employee ID cards
Your proof of address document must be addressed directly to yourself, we do not accept circular mail. Joint documents are fine as long as they show your name and are not just addressed to "The Occupier". The document must be dated within the acceptable time frames, the date must be clearly visible and it must show your full, current address. Documents with partial postcodes cannot be accepted.
Common forms of proof of address we DO NOT accept are as follows:
- Tenancy agreements
- NHS letters
- DVLA letters, including V5 logbooks
- SIA letters
- Electoral related letters including poll cards
- Mobile phone bills
- TV licence bills
- Department Store or Catalogue card statements
Cooperation with our screening team will ensure your screening is completed quickly and efficiently, preventing any delays in starting your employment.
