Each screening is unique, therefore we cannot give an estimated timeline of completion. How long the process takes depends entirely on the complexity of your activity history and your cooperation with our screening team. Failure to provide us with requested information or documentation can prevent your screening from moving forward.

Filling in your application form fully and truthfully will greatly reduce the time it takes to complete your screening.

There is a time limit to complete your screening. We have an allowance of 84 days to fully complete your screening from start to finish. If you do not respond to us and provide what is required in a timely manner, your screening could time fail. This will result in us cancelling your application which in turn may affect your employment.

We will always try to complete your screening in the shortest possible time, but in some instances we may encounter delays, e.g. if we are waiting for responses from third parties such as past employers or education providers. We will keep you informed of anything you must send us to keep your screening moving forward.

Cooperation with our screening team will ensure your screening is completed quickly and efficiently, preventing any delays in starting your employment.

If you have lived or worked abroad, please bear in mind that overseas background checks can sometimes take a little bit longer.

If we think you can help us reduce any such delays, for example by providing alternative contact details or supporting documents, we will let you know.

NVS UK WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY ABUSE TOWARDS OUR MEMBERS OF STAFF. ABUSIVE ACTIONS WILL BE REPORTED TO YOUR EMPLOYER AND WE MAY REFUSE TO CONTINUE WITH YOUR SCREENING.
